About the Podcast

Pondoff’s Anonymous is a weekly podcast recorded in Swansea, Illinois, at the Illinois Recovery Center. We cover recovery, mental health, identity, and the long, messy, hopeful journey toward healing and purpose.

Launched in 2020 and relaunched in 2025, the show features unfiltered interviews with guests from various backgrounds—many in recovery themselves—and fearlessly tackles tough topics with honesty, vulnerability, and unexpected humor.

This isn’t therapy or a PSA. It’s real talk — about staying alive, staying sober, and staying human.

Chris Pondoff
Founder & namesake, in recovery. He started the podcast to tell his story and now amplifies others. Chris brings grit, grace, and fearless honesty.

Jeff Allen
Mental health advocate and producer from Belleville, IL. Jeff asks the questions non-addicts might have and helps frame emotional context.

Jakob Miller
Executive Director of Illinois Recovery Center. Jakob provides the clinical insight and compassionate voice that guide each conversation.
