Currently serving as the Director of Outreach for Illinois Recovery Center (IRC) and the Director of Business Development, Nathaniel brings over seven years of professional experience in the recovery space. His work has spanned multiple roles, from serving as a tech in treatment centers to working as a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) on a mobile opioid outreach team. His expertise, paired with firsthand understanding, allows him to connect with individuals struggling with addiction in meaningful and impactful ways.

Nathaniel's recovery journey was shaped by multiple stays in treatment centers, detox programs, and psychiatric wards before finding solace and support in a 12-step fellowship and a strong community of like-minded individuals. This network played a crucial role in his healing and has fueled his passion for guiding others through similar struggles.

Beyond his professional work, Nathaniel is passionate about hiking, hunting, working out, attending church, and being a devoted father. A die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan, he loves going to Chiefs, Blues, and Cardinals games, spending time with friends, attending recovery meetings, and unwinding with cigars and poker nights.

His advice to anyone struggling with addiction or mental health challenges is simple yet powerful: "Reach out! No one knows you’re struggling if you don’t say something. And never give up—no matter how hard things get." Nathaniel is a testament to the fact that recovery is possible, and with support, perseverance, and community, anyone can reclaim their life.
