Underground Recovery Community
A space for anyone navigating addiction, healing, frustration with church, or a search for connection and hope. Underground Recovery Community (URC) brings together honesty, recovery, and the grace of Jesus in a way that feels real and unpolished.
Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m.
The Gathering – McCausland
2360 McCausland Ave, St. Louis, MO 63143
What It Is
URC is built for addicts, loved ones, skeptics, spiritual wanderers, and anyone who's ever felt out of place in a traditional church environment. It’s a gathering centered on community, recovery, vulnerability, and hope.
Who It's For
URC welcomes you exactly as you are. Angry at God, unsure about faith, exhausted from addiction, returning to recovery, or trying to believe in something again… you're not alone here.
Some arrive ready for a fresh start. Others are carrying hurt, disappointment, or years of struggle. All of that is welcome in the room.
What to Expect
We begin with time to connect over coffee. From there, we celebrate life and recovery milestones, hear a short message connecting recovery to grace, and listen to a storyteller share their lived experience.
After the gathering, optional recovery groups and conversations are available for anyone wanting next steps or support.
Guiding Values
Radically Inclusive
Addiction touches everyone. URC creates a space where everyone can belong.
Authentic
This isn't a polished Sunday service. Bring your real, your messy, your broken, your hopeful… all of it.
A Touchpoint, Not the Only Touchpoint
URC is one piece of a larger recovery journey. We honor and support many paths to healing.
The Light
We keep showing up for those still struggling. Hope is something we practice together.
Of Service
Healing grows through connection and service to others who battle addiction.
